Meet madelynn kraft, LPC-MHSP

I’m already proud of you for having the courage to take this step toward healing.

Therapy that honors the courage it takes to heal.

I’m so glad you are here.

Sometimes we need more than talk therapy to heal.

Through my professional experiences in residential treatment centers and group therapy practices, I know how to be deeply attuned to my clients and bring in modalities such as somatic work, experiential therapy, hypnotherapy, and brain spotting to best meet my client's needs on their healing journey.

I do not take it lightly when a client allows me to see their vulnerability, and I therefore strive to create a space for my clients to feel accepted, validated, and safe throughout the process. I would love to create that space with and for you, if my approach aligns with your goals.

My style

I am relational, curious, compassionate, and honest.

My goal is to create a space where you feel safe to explore your story with curiosity, reconnect with your body, and gently untangle patterns that no longer serve you.

My guiding principles

Curiosity

I meet both you and your story with curiosity. Curiosity allows us to explore and understand your experiences with gentleness, openness, and honesty.

Authenticity

Who I am as a person is present even in my role as a therapist. Because of this authenticity, I will always be honest with you and gently challenge you when it’s helpful for your growth.

Compassion

Shame is often a part of people’s stories. My goal is to help you develop compassion for yourself, just as I will always meet you with compassion.

Safety

I understand that some people have never truly felt safe—or haven’t in a very long time. Helping you develop a sense of safety, both within our work together and in your relationship with yourself, is my utmost priority.

About me….

When I am not doing therapy, I also teach at in the Psychology department at Cumberland University. Teaching is important to me because I remember how my first Psychology class in college finally gave me names and understanding to so many of my life experiences I did not understand. Understanding Psychology gave me hope, and I hope to offer that for my students.

I am a lover of coffee shops, trying new restaurants, or cooking new recipes. I enjoy a good, long walk outside as well as a pilates class. You can also usually find me reading whatever the newest fantasy novel is. Traveling and seeing the world is also a passion or mine that makes my heart so happy.
